As a boy from the hood who made it big, Naezy with his quirky street influenced style was one of the first guys to start the whole gully rap trend in India. Gully Rap has become the biggest growing trend in the Indian hip hop scene influencing a whole generation of artists from not just similar areas but across the whole country.Â
In April 2015, Naezy took the country by storm with his hit ‘Mere Gully Mein’ from the movie Gully Boy in collaboration with fellow Mumbai rapper Divine and Sez, which racked up 2 million views on Youtube and became a viral hit. His breakout song ‘Aafat Wapas’ went viral with over 10 million plays and views.
